The Renewed Mind Playbook

WITH SPECIAL GUEST: PASTOR JASON LUSCOMBE

🧠 The Renewed Mind Playbook: Real Talk on Faith, Focus & Mental Strength

🏀 The Game Is Won in the Mind

You can have all the talent in the world—but if your mindset’s off, it’ll show the moment pressure hits.

We’ve seen it in sports again and again. Super teams crumble. Championship dreams collapse. The skill was there—but the mental toughness wasn’t.

Romans 12:2 says,

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

That’s the difference maker. Renewing your mind is like mental training for your spirit. It’s choosing faith over fear, purpose over pressure, and focus over frustration.

đź’Ş Mental Strength Separates the Good from the Great

As Pastor Jason said, “If you’re mentally strong, you’ve got an incredible edge.”

Tiger Woods didn’t dominate because of his swing alone—he dominated because of his mindset. When the shot went wrong, he didn’t spiral. He reset.

Coach Dan nailed it too: you can take a hundred shots in the gym, but if you’re not locked in mentally, you’re just wasting reps. Discipline beats distraction—every time.

Faith works the same way. You can go to church, serve, give, and still lose focus if your mind isn’t renewed daily. It’s not just what you do—it’s how you think while you do it.

🙏 Faith Requires a Renewed Mindset

In leadership, ministry, or life—mental focus isn’t optional.

Too many people talk themselves out of what God already said they could do. They think small, pray safe, and stay stuck. But God’s not limited by your situation—He’s only limited by your mindset.

Renewing your mind isn’t just “staying positive.” It’s aligning your thoughts with God’s truth. Philippians 4:8 says to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable.

That’s how you keep your peace when everything else falls apart.

⚡ Resilience Is Built Before the Storm

The story behind “It Is Well With My Soul” always hits hard.

Horatio Spafford wrote it after losing his four daughters in a shipwreck. Imagine that level of pain—and still being able to say, “It is well.”

That’s a renewed mind in action. That’s faith that refuses to break.

Pastor Jason put it perfectly:

“Be so full of Jesus that when life squeezes you, the only thing that comes out is Christ.”

That’s real talk.

🔑 This Week’s Play: Train Your Mind. Trust Your God.

You can’t control every trial—but you can control your response.

When your mindset is right, the storm doesn’t sink you—it shapes you.

So take your spiritual reps this week: ✅ Spend time in God’s Word ✅ Guard your thoughts ✅ Stay grounded in truth

Because whether it’s on the field, in your faith, or in your family—the game is won in the mind.
